  • DE-STRESS THE YUMMY!
  • ITS FRIDAY NIGHT. WHAT ARE YOUR CHAKRAS DOING?

Another wild friday night as I sit here working on the weight loss group Be Thin Within.  We get some energetic ”stress management” each day, but for some reason today the group’s chakras would not balance, which indicated a high stress level, so am giving it another try.

When I first got into biofeedback I didn’t want to hear about chakras- it was too new-agey for me. Then I went to a lecture by Dr. Bruce Lipton  and he explained in a way that opened my eyes.

Dr. Lipton said that he learned, from his cellular research, that we are actually operated from outside our body, not from within. Our cells take instruction from the energy fields around us.

We can be compared to the spaceship voyager. Those of us old enough can recall the voyager walking around on the moon. If we had been from another reality we might have thought it was walking on its own.

But of course we knew that NASA was handling all the controls, and guiding the voyager.

Our body is the same. We are operated by our energy field (NASA) as it sends information to us (the voyager) via the cellular membranes.

Chakras control the flow of  information being sent from our field to our cells

Chakras can get out of sync though. Stress can make them spin the wrong way. Then physical and emotional problems can result, because our cells aren’t getting the right information. Diabetes, for example, according to Caroline Myss, who has the ability to see the human energy system,  is considered a 3rd chakra issue.

In other words, there could be healing by working on the chakras rather than the actual physical issue.

So, if you’re interested, click here to learn more about this subject. You may be one , like me, who’s always thought this was a bunch of hooey. But if you’re serious about achieving optimal physical and emotional health, it may be time to read up.

Plus it’s Friday night. Live a little  :)

    WEIGHT LOSS SOLUTION!

If you could pop a pill that safely kept your appetite down with no side effects, and erased calories after you consumed them, would you do it? (drug companies have been trying to create such a drug for years.) Well, you can, but it isn’t a pill.  It’s fiber!

Fiber will help you lose weight because it does all these things. It also can help you maintain your ideal weight for life. It helps balance cholesterol and reduces the risk of developing diabetes. It even reduces risk of cancer.

Am posting about fiber because all this talk about popcorn made me realize that many thought it was a good source of fiber, but it isn’t.  Check out the site www.fiber35diet.com. It’s a great education on weight loss. You can type in your goal weight and get daily instructions on how to reach it, and it’s free! There’s a book, too “Fiber 35 Diet” by Brenda Watson

If you don’t  have time for all this, but still want to lose weight, check out FiProFlax. I found it at the health food store, and it’s fiber, protein, omega 3 fatty acids and lignans.  You just add it to your food and get your fatty acids and fiber at the same time!

1 MEDIUM BAG BUTTERED MOVIE POPCORN =3 QUARTER POUNDERS WITH 12 PATS OF BUTTER

Okay, the headline above highlights information received from the  CENTER FOR SCIENCE IN THE PUBLIC INTEREST.

Maybe while you’re tearing up your intestines you’re also caulking them with fat.

Regardless, I didn’t mention that when a special occassion warrants eating something BAD  I take special fat fighters- they’re made from whole foods (kidney beans and some kind of cactus) and they absorb fat and carbs-

Have been taking these things for years, and they do work. Still, the movie popcorn was a bad habit and I can live without it.  But please don’t send any info on milk duds-

    AVATAR AND POPCORN

Finally got to see Avatar yesterday. For those of you who haven’t , it’s great! Maybe a little too violent for me, but whatever. Anyway, as I went to get my popcorn- which I NEVER watch a movie without- my friend said “Don’t you know popcorn tears up the lining of your intestines?”.

This lady isn’t just your ordinary pain in the neck.  She’s a nutritionist, which means she can be a BIG pain in the neck. :)   She says one of the worst things we can do to our digestive system is eat popcorn. Research it for yourself, but I didn’t have any.

    LITTLE WHITE DONUTS?

Did you know that one way to release extra weight is to upgrade every meal with spices? Supposedly we should have 3 spices with each meal.  This doesn’t add a single calorie.

You may have heard all this talk about “ superfoods”. Well, spices upgrade every food (just about, not sure about those delicious little white hostess donuts).

I couldn’t imagine carrying a bunch of spices around, but discovered it isn’t much trouble- I chose cinnamon (good source of GABA and lowers blood pressure, lowers blood sugar, blocks inflammation) Chamomile (serotonin- alleviates arthritis, can lesson anxiety, alleviates pain) and peppermint (serotonin- relieves headaches, helps clear sinus).

The cinnamon is a wonderful addition- I put it on beverages,  fruits ,  desserts,  sweet potatoes, even little white donuts. :)  You can even put it in your coffee (1/4 t to each cup or add it directly to your coffee filter wit the coffee grounds before brewing).

For the peppermint I chose to carry an essential oil- so that’s no trouble at all.

And for the chamomile you can drink it in tea form. Tea is a major aid for weight loss- and also for anti-aging. It has absolutely no calories, cleanses the body, reduces inflamation, lowers cholesterol and gives lots of energy.

Adding these spices is a major help in giving up cravings- if you put cinnamon on those little white donuts pretty soon you’ll eat less donuts! That’s because many of our cravings are related to stress from neurotransmitter deficiency. The goal is to eliminate the #1 poison, sugar, from our diets, but that is virtually impossible to do when the neurotransmitters are off.

Couldn’t find a chart online that gives information on which spices support each neurotransmitter. However in the book “Younger Thinner You Diet” by Dr. Eric Braverman, there’s an excellent chart.

Just in case you don’t want to buy the book at this time, I’m going to start giving abbreviated info on a few spices at a time in these posts- because it appears spices are a HUGE factor in getting us slim and healthy!

    Starting with the A’s-

Allspice- supports acetylcholine- helps lower blood pressure, prevents cardiovascular disease, and prevents neuro-degenerative conditions

Anise – supports serotonin- alleviates cough, helps relieve symptoms of menopause

    Who would’ve thought!

HEALING HAPPENS – BETWEEN – THE CELLS!

Giving credit where it’s due, this statement came from a friend, Dr. Sam Rhame, who does incredible light therapy.  She started out as a skeptic of “quantum”, but has since had a change of heart because of some powerful healing experiences working with scalar wave energy.

Anyway, you know I agree! That’s also the kind of work we do in Be Thin Within!  Lately we’ve been checking out stress “between the cells”  related to brain chemistry/neurotransmitters. Looks like the brain runs the show  in regards to weight. Hope some of you had a chance to do some reading on this- there are several good books out there.

This week we were highly stressed regarding the neurotransmitter NOREPINEPHIRINE.  Don’t know much about this one, but it’s apparently related to the adrenals. However I started searching and found that almost everywhere this  neurotransmitter was mentioned, there was a reference to bipolar disorder.

No question, bipolar depression is on the rise. Some say it’s because of environmental issues like food additives, cell phones, tv frequencies, etc. However there have been many people throughout history who suffered from this disorder, and we sure didn’t have those things back then!

Most of us live in a state of high stress, just because of the times we’re in.   Some  handle all this pretty well, but  some may have a much more difficult time because there is an underlying stress from depression, even bipolar tendencies. (there are degrees of bipolar, some are mild and are actually aggravated by poor lifestyle habits.)

Regardless, when life goes crazy, say from a financial setback,  the resulting depression may seem “situational” but in reality there is a tendency, possibly inherited, to sink much deeper than others and have more difficulty getting back on track.

People could have suffered all their lives, making poor lifestyle decisions, etc, without realizing something like low-grade depression in one form or another could be involved. For example, substance abuse (including food) and countless other self-sabataging behaviors, like over-spending, not being able to find a “soul mate”, apathy, etc, could be related.

Extreme weight gain could be a sign that things are really starting to get out of control.

Of course depression is nothing to mess with, so if you think this could apply to you in any form, see a nutritionist, doctor, therapist, or whatever feels best. Meanwhile, ideas that might help you cope:

    1. Don’t skip meals- depression and low blood sugar are a REAL bad combination- and stay away from processed foods as much as possible. There could be a link.

    2. Avoid coffee, smoking, alcohol, recreational drugs (don’t worry about not having any fun- you’ll have MORE-  depression is no fun!)

    3. Stay away from toxic people! There are still some people I’d rather not even have a phone conversation with, because my mood drops.( Unless of course it’s your mother, and then you probably have no choice.)

4.There are some natural supplements- not in place of medication if you are already on something-and remember I’m no nutritionist- but here goes- fatty acids, free form amino acid omplex, L-tyrosine, taurine, a good multi-vitamin, (no iron),  and B vitamins. Also check out www.truehope.com  I don’t sell the product, but it has rave reviews for working with bipolar, and it’s natural.

LOSE 5 LBS WHILE YOU SLEEP!

Last night was in  line at the grocery store and saw a magazine with this caption on the front page. So i purchased it, for research purposes only. :)

Interesting when you think about it. We’ve been shaped by the media to believe we need to be thin and at the same time  bombarded with ads that make us want  the processed foods that make us fat.

The result seems to be a high level of stress related, among other things, to our weight.

This stress impacts us in many ways,(and makes us spend alot of money looking for solutions!)  But lately we’ve been talking about brain chemistry/neurotransmitters.

That’s what many experts say controls our weight, as well as other things like depression, insomnia, etc.  Everything overlaps.  For example, when a person is overweight they often also suffer from insomnia.

Today when the be thin within group is analyzed for stress related to weight management I’ll post which of our neurotransmitters is most “stressed”.

However, the first and most important objective of this approach to stress management is SELF-LOVE.  Achieving ideal body size and shape, prosperity, optimal health, or whatever is really just a fringe benefit of first going to the core and loving/accepting yourself as you are.

That has to come first.  Otherwise we keep self-sabataging. Many of us have done that all our lives, and not just in areas related to our weight.

And, just so you know, there was no special revelation in the article. All it said is that if you want to lose weight you need to sleep.  Not sorry I purchased it, though, because I now know that young Hollywood is out of control.

    SOLFEGGIO FREQUENCIES-COULD THEY BE TRANSFORMATIVE?

Some people think this frequency talk is ridiculous. Others (like me)  say that once you understand that everything is frequency, not solid matter, you can change your frequency and possibly transform your life. Various forms of technology now exist to help with this but many ancient ways also, including oils, music, or color.

Take music, for example.  Those who study this kind of thing  say that each note in the scale was originally intended to send powerful information to the cells . But in the days of King James our musical scale was  changed. It used to be, for example, that middle C was at a frequency of 528. That was a frequency to heal our DNA.  This is why singing and toning was always included in worship- the notes were transformative.

In addition to healing the DNA, there were notes for consciousness expansion, awakening intuition,connecting/relationships,liberating guilt and fear,  undoing situation and facilitating change, and many others.

Is this possible? Can music do this? We don’t really know. The notes are different frequencies now. Middle C, for example, is 523 instead of 528.

If you’re interested,  go to www.youtube.com or www.google.com and type in Solfeggion frequencies. Or, here’s a sample ..

There are plenty who doubt all this stuff, but there was a time the world told the Wright brothers there could never be such a thing as an airplane.  Man wasn’t meant to fly.

    What else might we accomplish?

    LET’S RAISE OUR FREQUENCY!

Last night went to a fantastic presentation on vibrational healing. The speaker shared work done by Bruce Tainio, Dr. Emoto, and Dr. Peter Gariaev. Those of you who google these names will be interested, I think, in what their research has uncovered.

Technology can  measure subtle energy/vibration of the human system.  We know we are frequency, and that the higher our vibration, the healthier we are. And vice versa.   Each disease has a vibrational measurement, and only when our body hits that number do we develop the “disease”.

It makes you think about your own vibration, and what you might be doing (unintentionally) to lower it.

For example, did you know that when you drink a cup of coffee your frequency, or MHz, drops 14 points? It stays that way for 3 days, unless you do something to bring it back up. Without awareness, how could we even think about correcting  this? She shared that working with certain oils, “essential oils”,  can turn this around.  Who would’ve guessed?

I’m not giving up my coffee. But I’m more than happy to sniff an oil! :)

And did you know that canned food is absolutely dead…no energy at all?

How about the people you hang out with? Are they all broke? Depressed? If so, you will at some point “resonate” with them-in other words, be like them- that’s how vibration works.

Think about living in fear. Alot of us do this- all we have to do is watch the news, or even just think about the IRS.

Fear has a huge effect on vibration, even effecting our DNA.

    Lots to think about.
